How to Host a Children's Christmas Party
Christmas is the most enchanting and magical holiday of the year, so what better way to celebrate than to throw a princess-themed kids Christmas party? The holidays are a truly special season, and a special kids Christmas party would make this year an extra memorable year.
Start off with the invitations. How many guests do you want? Make a guest list, and then you can get started on the invitations. You can always purchase invitations, which would be the easiest option. If your daughter is old enough, let her create her own invitations with your aide. You could print some simple invitations on the computer and let her add some sparkle with glue and red glitter! Or, you could make a simple invitation by taking a picture of your daughter in her Christmas Winter Beauty dress, and putting it on the invitation. However you choose to create the invitations, make sure you let the girls know to dress up!
Whenever you are dealing with princess themes, the castle concept is important to address. With Christmas time, let the castle be your house and decorate! String up some white lights and add some holly and greenery. Don't forget to keep the Christmas tree up! The colors of a princess kids Christmas party are easy to create, just go with the traditional red, green, and white.
Plan a simple craft or game for the girls to do that will keep in the spirit of Christmas. Make some cut-out sugar cookies and let the princesses decorate with frosting, sprinkles, and candies. You could purchase some inexpensive ornaments and let the girls decorate them with glitter. Make sure to have some aprons or baggy shirts handy, we don't want those Christmas Winter Beauty dresses getting dirty! For younger girls, you can just have them color a nativity picture or make Christmas cards for their families with stickers and colors.
No princess party would be complete without dress-up time. Pull out your Little Adventures Cinderella costume, your Christmas Winter Beauty dress, and all your tutus and accessories. Let the girls dress-up, and be sure to take lots of pictures. You could even have them do a fashion show! Choose a room for the 'runway,' turn on some holiday music, and let the girls take turns walking down the runway modeling their Little Adventures Cinderella costumes. For an added touch, you could make or buy each girl a tiara for her to keep. Older girls could assemble a simple ribbon tiara themselves, or you could purchase a simple tiara and add some little red and green gems to it to give it some Christmas flair.
Little princesses get hungry, so make sure to have snacks ready! Holiday sugar cookies are a must, and don't forget the hot chocolate! You could serve apple cider in long-stemmed glasses or hot coca with peppermint sticks to let the girls feel that they are a more fancy grown-up meal. Princesses like anything dainty, so try cutting up fruits small and serving it with toothpicks.
A kids Christmas party is a great way to get your child involved in celebrating the holidays. A princess theme gets the girls excited and gives them an opportunity to use their Little Adventures Cinderella costumes as well as create a truly magical holiday.
